“ The band GAFFED emerged from New Jersey’s fertile 1990s death metal scene, which also birthed acts like Revenant, Ripping Corpse, and Mortal Decay. In their early years, performing under the name Ritual Torment, the group released three demo recordings before rebranding as Gaffed. Under their new name, they put out two more demo tapes before disbanding.

However, in 2021, amid the boredom and uncertainty of the C-19 pandemic lockdowns, the members decided to revive the band. That decision led to the release of one of the most impressive and criminally underrated comeback albums in death metal - Die Already, which dropped in 2023.

Inspired by the album’s success, Gaffed set out to reconnect with their roots.

For their second full-length release, I Can Feel Myself Rot, the band revisited material from their original demo recordings and elevated it to an entirely new level. The album showcases a refined and crushingly heavy evolution of their early work, made even more lethal through the top-tier production of Matt McGrath at Raven Recording Studios.

Over the past year, Gaffed meticulously rewrote and reimagined their demo tracks, infusing them with fresh ideas while staying true to their original essence.
